Job summary

ECMC Group in Minneapolis seeks a detail-oriented loan support specialist to respond to written inquiries and inbound calls from borrowers, lenders, schools and guarantors. You will provide detailed responses on FFEL program questions and offer actionable options for resolving account-related issues, both in default and non-default status.

The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience, a High School diploma or GED, and basic Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Responds to written and phone inquiries regarding FFEL loans, including account balances, NSP/TPRO, Title IV eligibility, rehabilitation, garnishment and loan discharge for both pre- and post-default accounts.
• Guides customers on resolving delinquency or default and explains long-term solutions and consequences.
• Processes loan discharge applications, determines approval or denial, and communicates outcomes to borrowers.
• Provides account information to external entities and resolves electronic credit bureau disputes.
