Job summary

University of Chicago Booth School of Business seeks a Faculty Research Accounting Analyst to provide planning, budgeting, and accounting support for over 150 faculty research accounts. You will act as a budget consultant, monitor balances, and process invoices and cost corrections.

The role requires 2–5 years of accounting experience, a bachelor’s in accounting or finance, and strong MS Office skills. Hybrid work in Chicago is expected with in-office days three times weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Accounting and financial reporting experience preferred.
• CPA certification (or CPA track) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide planning, budget preparation and monitoring, and accounting support to faculty researchers.
• Monitor budgets, expenses, and encumbrances; optimize cash usage and generate reports.
• Process invoices and reimbursement requests; prepare expense reports for approval.
• Maintain and update faculty projects in the Oracle ERP system; support ad-hoc reporting for the Dean’s office.
