Job summary

The Freeman Company in McCook, IL is seeking a Project Manager – Business Operations to support the General Manager and Director of Operations in planning and executing regional projects. This role works with operations and sales to share timely information and drive efficiencies for audio visual and event technology initiatives.

This position offers a hybrid schedule with in-office or show site work about 3 days a week and travel 25% to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent acceptable.
• Minimum 3 years’ professional industry experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience managing projects.
• Working knowledge of audio visual systems and live event production.
• Demonstrate leadership, strategic thinking and matrix-organization skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to handle diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement operational activity in the region with timely information.
• Review and resolve production schedule conflicts between internal departments and outside parties.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, facilities and labor providers.
• Attend pre-con meetings and assist with site surveys as needed.
• Maintain documentation of operational information to produce events.
• Coordinate plans with show site execution team to maximize profitability.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed at show sites.
• Serve as liaison to sales team to explain facility guidelines.
• Quality control and escalation throughout project development.
• Measure project performance and identify improvement areas.
