Job summary

Horizontal Boring & Tunneling Co. in Omaha, NE seeks an Estimator/Project Manager to lead bids and oversee projects from initiation to completion.

You will oversee estimating, cost control, and financial outcomes while coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, and customers. The role combines estimating and project management in a dynamic trenchless construction environment, with emphasis on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of experience as an estimator and/or project manager.
• Five or more years field experience in utilities or underground construction, ideally as a superintendent or project manager.
• Three or more years experience managing others.

Responsibilities

• Estimate, review, and submit bids accurately, timely, and competitively.
• Review drawings, identify concerns, and develop solutions.
• Supervise preparation of pre-qualification, submittal and bid packages and job correspondence.
• Follow up on bids, solicit feedback, maintain customer communication.
• Build customer markets in targeted regions and use marketing strategies.
• Coordinate delivery of materials and ensure lead times are sufficient.
