Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Specialist, Accounting - Escheat Operations to oversee unclaimed property activities, including state reporting, remittance support, due diligence, recoveries, and reconciliations. The role requires strong organization, communication, and confidentiality, with work scheduled as 2 days in office and 3 days remote in a SuccessFlex arrangement.

Qualified candidates have 4–6 years of related accounting experience; CPA progress is preferred.

Qualifications

• GAAP and/or STAT knowledge; complex financial statement preparation.
• Strong accounting and financial data interpretation skills.
• Ability to analyze, solve accounting problems and interpret regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead in establishing and implementing new or revised accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare and analyze sophisticated financial and regulatory statements.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of reports and data for internal/external clients.
