Job summary

Unison is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer in Omaha, NE to originate our Hybrid/Equity Loan and guide customers to optimal financial solutions. This hybrid role requires 3 days in the office weekly and collaboration with internal teams to ensure smooth processing.

You will manage loan applications, collect documents, and explain estimates and disclosures while ensuring compliance with applicable mortgage laws. Licensed originators or those willing to obtain NMLS are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be registered and/or licensed officer.
• If currently registered LO, complete 20-hour NMLS course and pass licensing exam; maintain state licenses.
• If currently licensed LO, transfer of applicable licenses will be arranged.
• Candidate must be located in the Omaha, NE metro area and work in the office 3 days per week (Tue–Thu).
• 2 years sales experience in a contact center environment.
• Strong attention to detail, quality, and compliance skills.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and time management skills.
• Previous, recent mortgage experience required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complete loan applications and request documents.
• Track customer interactions and update logs.
• Resolve problems throughout the loan process.
• Review and explain Loan Estimates and Closing Disclosures.
• Ensure compliance with mortgage regulations and laws.
• Maintain MLO license and schedule continuing education.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to close mortgage transactions.
• Meet productivity targets.
• Maintain customer satisfaction and de-escalate concerns.
• Originate high-quality loans with minimal compliance defects.
• Identify and resolve friction points to speed delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
