Jobot is seeking a Litigation Attorney (EPL / Employment Practices Liability / Professional Lines) in Chicago with a hybrid remote arrangement. The role targets defense of insurers and employers across professional lines, with a base salary of $150,000 to $200,000 plus bonuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of insurance defense experience with professional lines focus.
• Illinois Bar Admission.
• Strong written communication for carrier reporting.
• Defense-side only—no plaintiff, in-house, or carrier-side candidates.
• Federal court experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Defend a varied caseload of professional lines matters with an EPL focus.
• Handle all phases of litigation from inception through resolution.
• Defend insurers, employers, professionals, insurance brokers and agents, real estate brokers, HOAs against EPL, D&O, and E&O policies.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and exposure and provide strategic guidance to insurance carriers and insured clients on case strategy, settlement, and resolution.
• Prepare detailed client reports and carrier communications with clarity and precision.
