Arizona Department of Health Services is seeking an entry-level Epidemiologist in Phoenix. The role conducts surveillance, data collection, and epidemiological analyses to support disease prevention and maternal health initiatives.

You will work with a team under supervision, applying quantitative and qualitative methods to inform public health programs. The ideal candidate has a basic knowledge of epidemiology, strong data literacy, and the ability to communicate findings clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health or a related field.
• Experience with public health epidemiology and data analysis.
• Understanding of HIPAA and privacy laws.

Responsabilités

• Conduct routine epidemiological surveillance, data collection and analysis.
• Prepare reports from surveillance data and literature reviews.
• Provide scientific and clinical guidance to public health agencies.
• Participate in after-hours activities and grant-writing as needed.
