Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Geologist with 0-3 years of experience for our Rockey Hill, CT office. The role supports the Environmental, Geotechnical, and Energy discipline in a hybrid environment with office, field, and remote work options.

You’ll conduct ASTM-aligned site assessments, oversee drilling and sampling, manage data, and assist in reports. Ideal candidates have a committment to teamwork and travel for field work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, or related field.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER and annual refresher training.
• 0–3 years of experience in environmental site work.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Phase I/II/III environmental site assessments per ASTM and regulatory guidance.
• Oversee field sampling, drilling supervision, and monitoring-well activities.
• Collect samples and manage laboratory data QA/QC.
• Prepare plans, maps, and boring logs; assist with technical reports.
