LaBella Associates seeks a mid-level Environmental and Permitting Manager in New York to lead environmental and permitting efforts on utility projects, coordinating with agencies and preparing permit applications.

The role requires 3–5 years of permitting experience, with a preference for municipal approvals. It offers in-office work with occasional remote days, and opportunities to advance within a dynamic environmental consulting team.

Qualifications

• BS in Environmental Science or related field required with 3–5 years permitting experience.
• Preference for municipal approvals experience (environmental or engineering).
• Excellent client service and communication skills; ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental and permitting on utility projects (wetlands, stormwater, endangered species, etc.).
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and prepare permit applications.
• Attend municipal meetings and present on behalf of the client.
• Direct other firms on environmental and permitting work; QA/QC of deliverables.
• Manage multiple complex projects and meet deadlines.
