Minnesota Power, an ALLETE company, is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist I to support water quality, wastewater, and waste management programs in a hybrid in-Duluth role. You will perform environmental compliance tasks, interpret regulations, and help maintain the EMS/EMIS systems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a valid driver’s license, with benefits including retirement, medical, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degreerequired.
• Valid driver's license.
• Degree focus in environmental science, engineering, biology, natural/physical science, physics or equivalent.
• Experience with electric utility environmental regulations.
• Excellent computer, data management, and writing skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform environmental compliance activities supporting water quality, wastewater, waste management, and related programs.
• Assist with environmental permitting, compliance monitoring, reporting, recordkeeping, and administrative tasks.
• Interpret regulations to assess impacts and support ongoing compliance efforts.
• Coordinate information within the EMS and EMIS systems.
• Help ensure operations comply with environmental laws, regulations, permits, and internal procedures.
• Support cost-effective service through sound environmental practices and efficient compliance management.
