Job summary

West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection seeks a Technical Analyst Associate to conduct on-site compliance evaluations, review permits, and draft enforcement documents. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET preferred) and four years of engineering experience.

This is a full-time, classified-exempt position with alternate work locations and a hybrid/telework arrangement, primarily serving Wood County and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
ABET-accredited program may substitute for two years of experience.
Four years of engineering experience required; master’s may substitute for two years.

Responsibilities

Conducts on-site Full Compliance Evaluations of major facilities.
Reviews permit applications and engineering evaluations for compliance.
Drafts enforcement documents and compliance programs to address issues.
Performs follow-up inspections and program reviews to ensure compliance.
Communicates with the public and regulated community on findings.
