Job summary

0 Base Design LLC in Raleigh, NC seeks an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team under a senior mentor, focusing on mixed-signal hardware development and Altium-based design. You will handle ECAD library management, schematic capture, hardware bring-up, SMT rework, and BOM documentation, with a hybrid schedule (up to 2 days remote) and on-site requirement during critical lab work.

The role favors candidates with an Associate or Bachelor's in EE/EET, hands-on electronics

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology required;BS EE/BS EET preferred.
• Foundational understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience with Altium Designer for schematic capture.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Altium Designer Library Management: create, organize, and maintain component libraries and symbols.
• Schematic Capture: perform schematic entry for analog and digital circuits under senior guidance.
• Hardware Bring-up & Verification: lab bring-up, functional testing, troubleshooting, and validation of PCBAs.
• Board Rework & Assembly: fine-pitch SMT hand soldering, component replacement, trace cuts, and wire jumps.
• Documentation & Design Support: maintain BOMs, ECOs, and test reports.
• Collaborative Learning: engage in mentoring, design reviews, and skill development with seniors.
