Job summary

Embedded Design Engineering is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with hands-on hardware design experience, using Altium Designer, for a hybrid role near Chaska, MN. The position requires on-site collaboration for hardware bring-up, testing, and production support.

You'll work on digital and analog circuit design, high-speed PCB layout, test development, and cross-functional projects with firmware and software teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hardware design experience.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Experience in both digital and analog circuit design.
• Experience with high-speed PCB layout techniques and controlled impedance.
• Hands-on hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation.
• Familiarity with functional test systems and Python-based test scripts.

Responsibilities

• Design digital and analog circuits from concept through production.
• Perform schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout using Altium Designer.
• Execute high-speed PCB layout (controlled impedance, differential pairs, length matching).
• Lead hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation with lab instrumentation.
• Develop and maintain test fixtures and functional test scripts in Python.
• Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to validate features.
