Wheaton College is seeking a System Analyst to join the Information Technology Services team in Norton, MA. The role focuses on supporting Ellucian Banner, DataConnect, Ethos, and related systems, while maintaining and enhancing enterprise integrations and schedulers.

Hybrid position requiring residence within reasonable distance to Norton or willingness to relocate. 5+ years in SQL/Oracle and strong web development skills are expected to drive projects and partner with campus stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Programmer/Analyst working with Oracle databases, PL/SQL, and development tools.
• Strong background in data processing, data modeling, and enterprise system integration techniques (e.g., SnapLogic, REST/JSON APIs, Ethos).
• Proficiency with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, ReactJS, jQuery).
• Hands-on experience with Linux environments, C/Pro*C, and shell scripting (bash).
• Solid understanding of administrative software systems, self-service portals, batch schedulers (JAMS), and enterprise reporting tools (WebFOCUS, Evisions).
• Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical business partners.
• High customer-service orientation, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-focused environment.

Responsabilités

• Serve as SME providing technical solutions, programming, and system optimization for core Banner modules.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain custom applications and integration solutions.
• Lead and manage operation of the enterprise job scheduler (JAMS).
• Collaborate with campus stakeholders to analyze business processes and implement IT solutions.
• Facilitate data sharing, reporting (WebFOCUS/Evisions), and data manipulation across divisions.
• Work with DBAs to ensure data integrity, security, and minimal redundancy.
• Provide tier-2/3 technical guidance and mentoring to administrative power users.
• Stay current with higher-education technologies and integration frameworks.
