Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company in Denver, CO is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage virtualization, HCI, and enterprise apps. You will own VMware/vCenter and Nutanix, oversee AD/Entra ID, Citrix delivery, Windows Server, and PowerShell automation to keep critical systems available and secure.

This role sits in the Enterprise Systems Operations team with a hybrid work policy at our Denver RiNo HQ, supporting resort IT and enterprise projects while delivering reliable incident triage, change

Qualifications

Extensive virtualization and HCI experience with VMware vSphere and Nutanix.
Strong Active Directory and Entra ID administration skills.
Experience deploying and supporting enterprise applications (POS, Citrix).
Proficient in Windows Server administration and PowerShell.
Proven ability to triage high-volume ticket queues in fast-paced environments.
ITSM process knowledge and change control experience.

Responsibilities

Administer VMware/vCenter and Nutanix HCI environments.
Deploy, patch, and monitor server infrastructure for critical line of business applications.
Provide production support across virtualization, identity, and application platforms.
Monitor ticket queues, triage requests, resolve incidents within SLA.
Lead Domain Consolidation workstreams and migrations.
Submit and implement ITSM change requests.
Troubleshoot tier-2/3 incidents for resort IT teams.
Apply IT security standards and harden configurations.
Collaborate with Systems Operations for enterprise-wide projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
