Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking an Engineer 3, System Planning Tools to support a workbench for planning engineers. You will help translate planning data needs into data structures and system architectures to enable scalable planning tools.

The role blends electrical engineering, data analytics, and software-enabled workflow development, with responsibilities spanning technical guidance, training, and cross-functional collaboration within the Distribution System Planning group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a scientific/technical/math field.
• Five or more years of engineering experience in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments.
• Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Resolves technical issues in a timely, cost-effective manner using available resources.
• Leads and coordinates work with full-time and contract staff on technical strategies.
• Performs life cycle assessments and improves maintenance procedures to reduce downtime.
• Conducts risk assessments and implements mitigation for safety and reliability.
• Supports audits and ensures environmental, health, and safety compliance.
