Job summary

Fervo Energy is seeking an Energy Associate to scale our powerplant engineering team. You will work directly with engineering teams to understand pain points, professionalize processes, improve decision quality, and support cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; economics, finance, energy policy, or STEM preferred.
• 2-4+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, energy development, power markets, project finance, or related field.
• Strong analytical rigor with comfort building and maintaining models, trackers, and processes.
• Comfort working with large datasets.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, able to summarize technical material.

Responsibilities

• Decision Quality: help make high quality data-driven decisions under ambiguity.
• Executive Communication: prepare updates for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Financial Modeling: build and maintain financial models supporting engineering decisions.
• Strategy and Operations: coordinate frameworks and best practices across the organization.
• Process Improvement: develop tools, checklists, and references to improve design and execution processes.
