Job summary

PG&E in Oakland is seeking a policy-focused analyst to support the Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) proceeding at the CPUC and develop a long-term strategy for California’s decarbonization goals. You will help shape regulatory frameworks, procurement mechanisms, and the clean energy transition with cross-functional collaboration.

The role involves analyzing state and federal proposals, coordinating with expert teams, and presenting findings at stakeholder events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in relevant fields.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in energy markets and policy development is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and execute a variety of tasks and analyses on electric markets, policy proposals, and business strategies.
  • Support analysis and coordinate internally to inform the company's positions and strategies.
  • Engage in relevant CPUC stakeholder processes including through developing comments, creating presentations, and potentially presenting at stakeholder meetings.
  • Research and communicate emerging regulatory issues and/or policy issues.
  • At all times, be a positive force for the team and bring teammates along to achieve objectives together.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Policy, Sociology, Engineering, Physics or other related fields
