Job summary

PG&E is seeking a Policy Analyst to support the Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) proceeding at the CPUC and help develop a long-term strategy for California's decarbonization. You will assist in proposing regulatory frameworks and procurement mechanisms to ensure a reliable, equitable clean energy transition.

The role involves analyzing electricity markets, coordinating with stakeholders, and drafting policy proposals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Policy, Sociology, Engineering, Physics or related field.
  • Requires a minimum of 4 years of related work experience.
  • Energy markets, policy development and advocacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and execute analyses on electric markets, policy proposals, and business strategies.
  • Support qualitative and quantitative analyses and coordinate internally to inform positions and strategies.
  • Engage in CPUC stakeholder processes including comments, presentations, and meetings.
  • Research and communicate emerging regulatory issues and policy issues.
  • Be a positive force for the team and bring teammates along to achieve objectives.
