Job summary

Xcel Energy in Minneapolis is offering a summer internship in the Energy Supply Strategy, Governance, and Business Operations team. You will help develop internal communications, create presentations, maintain SharePoint content, and support governance documentation while collaborating with senior leaders to improve processes.

Ideal candidates are current students pursuing Communications, Marketing, or Business Administration, with strong writing skills and the ability to build PowerPoint

Qualifications

• Current student, Junior or higher.
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and distributing internal communications, announcements, newsletters, and employee engagement materials.
• Create and update presentations, executive briefing materials, infographics, and other visual communication tools.
• Support SharePoint site maintenance, content development, and communication resource management.
• Review and document business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and assist with process standardization efforts.
• Support business operations activities including reporting, meeting coordination, action tracking, and governance documentation.
