Job summary

PG&E's Energy Accounting team seeks a Senior Accounting Analyst to support regulatory accounting and cost recovery within Corporate Accounting. You will analyze large data sets, prepare monthly closes, and collaborate with internal partners and Deloitte to ensure accurate GAAP filings.

The role requires strong writing and communication skills, and a mix of remote and Oakland-based work in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum four years of accounting experience.
• CPA is preferred; six+ years experience and public accounting background are desirable.
• Knowledge of GAAP and SEC; strong research and issue resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly closings including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Develop monthly reports on assets, liabilities, and other transactions.
• Perform month-end variance analyses and assist SEC documentation.
• Coordinate with Deloitte and other partners; respond to inquiries.
