Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in the health care industry; Home health experience preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and Release of Information protocols.
• Proficiency in Adobe, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and EMR systems such as HomeCare HomeBase or EPIC.
• Experience with document management systems (Worldview) and e-fax systems preferred.
• Experience with computers and dual monitors is required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, batch, send, and track physician orders and forms for signatures.
• Follow up on outstanding documents to meet regulatory timeframes.
• Coordinate with Sales and internal staff to minimize write-offs and maintain A/R.
• Enter demographic changes and routine visit times in EMR accurately.
• Assist clients and families in understanding order tracking and records procedures.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations regarding records maintenance.
