Key People in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Employment Litigation practice. The role offers sophisticated litigation responsibilities and client interaction in a hybrid work environment.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of employment litigation experience, a JD from an accredited law school, and Florida Bar admission in good standing. Must be able to handle multiple matters with strong written and oral advocacy.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of substantive employment litigation experience.
• Experience handling employment-related disputes including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour matters.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses.
• Taking and defending depositions.
• Appearances in state and federal courts and in arbitration.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong legal writing, analytical and oral advocacy skills.

Responsabilités

• Represent employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters in state and federal courts, admin proceedings, and arbitration.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct witness interviews, legal research, and case analysis.
• Take and defend depositions and assist with trial/hearing prep.
• Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Advise employers on employment law compliance and risk management.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's labor and employment practice.
• Manage case files and deadlines from inception through resolution.
