Connectly Recruiting in Jacksonville, FL seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice Group. The role offers meaningful litigation responsibility, direct client interaction, and growth within a collaborative, entrepreneurial firm.

The ideal candidate has a JD, Florida Bar admission, 4–7 years of employment litigation experience, and strong writing and advocacy skills. Hybrid work arrangement described.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Florida Bar admission in good standing.
• 4-7 years of substantive employment litigation experience.
• Experience handling employment-related disputes including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour matters.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Experience appearing in state and federal courts and arbitration.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience providing employment counseling to management is preferred.
• Large firm or employment boutique experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Represent employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and arbitration.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct witness interviews, legal research, and case analysis.
• Take and defend depositions and assist with trial and hearing preparation.
• Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Advise on employment law compliance and workplace risk management.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's practice on complex matters.
• Manage case files and litigation deadlines from inception through resolution.
