Job summary

SEI is seeking an Employment Law and Litigation Attorney to join the Legal, Compliance, Risk & Corporate Development (LCRCD) department. The role focuses on U.S. employment matters with global scope and reports to the lead attorney on Legal Risk Management.

The position is hybrid with three days onsite at SEI's Oaks, PA headquarters, offering collaboration across HR and business units and opportunities to work on M&A and global expansion initiatives.

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited U.S. law school and PA bar admission
• Three to five years of relevant experience in employment law and litigation
• Strong understanding of federal and state labor and employment laws; multi-jurisdictional experience helpful
• Experience advising on discrimination, harassment, retaliation, performance issues, leaves and accommodations, pay practices, and policies
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently with supervision
• Strong communication, relationship and organizational skills
• Comfort with a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Excellent research, analytical and technical skills, including the use of AI tools
• High integrity, proactive problem solving

Responsibilities

• Provide employment law counseling and compliance guidance to HR on a wide range of topics.
• Draft and update employment-related policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Support internal investigations involving workplace misconduct and guidance on employee relations.
• Monitor U.S. and global developments affecting workforce practices and implement best practices.
• Assist People & Culture with regulatory filings and notices.
• Collaborate with client teams to design training programs and guidelines.
• Draft, review, and update employment-related agreements and provisions in third-party agreements.
• Develop templates, playbooks and process improvements for LCRCD
• Contribute to ad hoc project work including M&A and global office expansion initiatives
