Qualifications

• Strong foundation in software development (C/C++) from coursework, internships, or projects.
• Hands-on experience from a collegiate engineering design team (e.g., Formula SAE, SAE AutoDrive Challenge, EcoCAR).
• Curiosity about open source technologies and production-grade software concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the on-vehicle control plane that applies cloud configurations to ECUs.
• Design, implement, and maintain the on-vehicle data plane for data collection and forwarding to cloud storage.
• Optimize control and data planes for reliability, intermittent connectivity, and minimal ECU footprint.
• Collaborate with cloud services and DevOps teams for safe rollout of on-vehicle software.
• Instrument software with observability to monitor fleet and diagnose production issues.
• Contribute to open source by reporting issues and patches.
