Job summary

Dallas College Facilities Management Department supports the facility needs for Dallas College while providing responsible stewardship and efficient operation of the College's physical assets. The Access Control Technician position supports that effort through completing work orders related to access control.

This on-site role requires knowledge of Avigilon access control, locksmithing, surveillance systems, and CMMS (TMA), with potential hybrid eligibility after six months.

Qualifications

• Two years of building access control/surveillance experience.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Bilingual or multilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain access control systems.
• Repair door hardware (card readers, closers, electric strikes, locks).
• Program credentials and system permissions.
• Install, repair, and replace locks and cylinders.
• Re-key locks and manage master key system.
• Install and maintain surveillance cameras (IP and analog).
• Troubleshoot camera/network issues and coordinate with IT.
• Document work orders and maintenance logs in CMMS (TMA).
• Ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to campus staff and faculty.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests.
