Job summary

Southern California Edison in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Technical Planning Specialist to guide pole-loading analysis through to detailed electrical designs. This hybrid role supports multiple projects within SCE's distribution planning discipline and helps ensure safe, reliable power delivery.

Candidates should have experience in Electrical Utility design, CAD or GIS tools, and the ability to manage priorities, coordinate with teams, and meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in Electrical Utility Distribution/Transmission/Telecommunication Design.
• Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Develops and prepares construction plans, drawings, and/or circuit maps; develops and designs electrical distribution plans, identifying resources and providing cost estimates; ensures compliance with standards.
• Interacts with a diverse customer base to meet electrical design needs and deliver successful outcomes for customer and SCE.
• Participates in small to medium residential, commercial and industrial projects; assists in determining scope of work, method of service, and construction methods; manages work orders and projects.
