Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Industrial Business Unit. You will design and deliver complex substation and industrial power systems, ensuring reliability, safety, and efficiency across client projects.

This hybrid role offers collaboration with top engineering talent and exposure to multidisciplinary design-build delivery. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field and at least 3 years of experience, with travel as

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical/related field.
3 years of related experience; travel may be required.
Equivalent related experience considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

Create basic to moderately complex designs of electric master system plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power systems, sustainability/renewable energy systems, and other electrical systems with collaborative support.
Conduct studies and electrical calculations for power systems, lighting simulations, layouts, communications, fire alarm and security systems.
Develop white papers and technical documentation; conduct site reviews and publish designs in journals.
Update design requirements as necessary.
Attend conferences to improve visibility of products and services with sales staff.
Perform other duties as required.
Mentor junior team members through technical guidance and reviews.
