Job summary

CDM Smith's Industrial Business Unit is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and deliver complex substation and industrial power systems, ensuring reliability, safety and efficiency. This hybrid role can be based out of CDM Smith offices, enabling collaboration with top engineering talent across the firm.

Responsibilities include creating designs for power systems, performing studies and calculations, updating requirements, and mentoring junior staff while supporting knowledge management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of related experience; travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Create basic to moderately complex designs of electric master system plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power systems and similar electrical systems.
• Conduct studies and electrical calculations for power systems, lighting simulations, layouts, and related systems.
• Develop white papers and technical docs to support firm knowledge management and publish designs when appropriate.
• Mentor junior team members through technical guidance and reviews.
