The position offers a hybrid work model with in-person collaboration at the Phoenix hub or site
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; 3 years of experience with medium voltage equipment.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with industrial electrical equipment and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of electrical engineering with an understanding of mechanical and process engineering techniques.
- Ability to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Familiarity and some experience in electronics, PLCs, and control systems.
- Skill in managing small to medium engineering projects.
- Ability to evaluate and implement new methods and techniques for operational improvement.
- Broad knowledge of national electrical safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice and guidance for assigned electrical engineering and maintenance projects.
- Review, investigate, and develop appropriate recommendations, policies, and guidelines regarding electrical engineering or maintenance processes.
- Manage and support small to medium site engineering or maintenance projects.
- Assist the Senior Engineer or Area Manager by contributing to corporate strategic planning and budgeting efforts.
- Develop working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations appropriate to your area of assignment.
- Administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment.
- Support or lead company-sponsored steering committees, task forces, or teams.
