Job summary

Exelon Corporation is seeking an EMS engineer to maintain the digital representation of the transmission grid within the Energy Management System (EMS) and iTOA. The role provides real-time support to System Operations for State Estimator and Contingency Analysis, including model updates and procedures development.

The position is hybrid with in-office days required (Tues–Thu) at the Kennett Square, PA office, collaborating with senior engineers to ensure safe and reliable grid operations and

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with 2–4 years of professional engineering experience
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices
• Familiarity with regulations, guides, standards, codes and practices for the discipline
• Graduate degree or EIT certification and strong communication are a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering assignments with independent discretion under guidance of an experienced engineer
• Tackle large projects or multiple smaller projects; analyze power flows and conduct complex tests
• Direct engineering tasks on large initiatives and validate studies against engineering standards
• Evaluate current systems and participate in design teams to improve transmission circuits and procedures
