Job summary

DEDC LLC, a Newark, Delaware-based engineering firm, is seeking Electrical Engineers to translate technical requirements into reliable designs and support construction. The role offers hybrid or local remote work and a target salary range of $120,000 to $140,000, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Four-year engineering degree, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience with clients in sectors including Higher Ed, Pharmaceutical, Biopharma & Biotech, and other Science & Tech Industries is helpful.
• Experience in a consulting engineering firm is preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Solid understanding of building and life safety codes.
• Attention to detail and well-organized.
• Ability to communicate with clients, partners, vendors, and peers.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Project-related travel when needed.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, requirements, and deliverables with clients.
• Perform engineering calculations.
• Select and specify equipment for projects.
• Develop conceptual and detailed electrical designs, schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate to develop construction drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, project teams, and suppliers.
• Support design reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Ensure designs meet codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Maintain records and communicate design decisions and project updates.
