Job summary

Krones, Inc. in Franklin, WI, seeks an Electrical Controls Engineer to design and program packaging machinery controls, including PLCs and HMIs, and to lead start-up and troubleshooting of automation systems.

You will manage electrical integration, create schematics and 3D assemblies, and work with customers, Mechanical Engineering, and vendors to meet project requirements. Siemens S7/TIA Portal experience is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Three years of experience as a Controls Engineer.

Responsibilities

Manage integration projects involving packaging machinery and other manufacturers' equipment.
Review customer specifications and work with customers, Mechanical Engineering and vendors to define system requirements.
Oversee electrical integration of machinery to the control system.
Create and modify electrical schematics and electromechanical assemblies using 3D CAD and parts lists.
Create and modify PLC programs to meet system requirements.
Provide engineering support for constructing and testing of control assemblies.
Assist in verification and validation of the control system.
Ensure projects meet customer requirements and schedule.
