Job summary

OUC - The Reliable One is seeking a Project Engineer Distribution (Electric) in Orlando to design, estimate, and manage electrical distribution projects. You will prepare designs, plans, and cost estimates; manage projects from development through completion; and review and optimize distribution infrastructure.

The ideal candidate holds a ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree with at least four years of distribution engineering experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (ABET-accredited).
• Minimum of four years of Electric Distribution engineering experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designs, plans, specs, cost estimates, and docs for Electric Distribution Projects.
• Manage projects from development through completion; track milestones.
• Design conduit and electric cable layouts using design software.
• Review electrical plans for new projects and analyze civil/electrical plans.
• Estimate materials and maintain cost records in Enterprise system.
• Resolve conflicts with customers, contractors, agencies and internal teams; ensure safe, reliable infrastructure.
• Prepare permits and manage traffic indexes for city/county agencies.
• Train new engineers on software and design guidelines; develop department tools.
