Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA, invites applications for a paid Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) intern position for May–August 2027. The role supports a safe, compliant work environment across Western Pennsylvania sites with hybrid in-office and field work.

You will assist in developing and implementing health and safety standards, participate in team meetings, conduct hazard assessments, and help prepare training materials.

Formación

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, industrial hygiene, fire or similar
• Completed Sophomore year of college
• Completed occupational safety, environmental or industrial hygiene coursework
• Reliable transportation for commuting to and from work locations (<50 miles)

Responsabilidades

• Travel throughout Western Pennsylvania sites as required
• Additional travel opportunities
• Develop and implement Health and Safety standards and programs
• Participate in EHS team meetings; present on EHS topics and project progress
• Conduct hazard assessments, and make recommendations for mitigations
• Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices for regulatory compliance
• Participate in accident investigations to identify causes and corrective actions
• Work as part of an inspection or audit team; develop safety briefs, communication and training materials and provide training to improve EHS knowledge
• Analyze data, suggest corrective actions, develop reports

Educación

Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, industrial hygiene, fire or similar
