Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience developing or leading equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives within organizations.
  • Experience developing and facilitating anti-racist, anti-bias and/or culturally responsive professional development.
  • Experience coaching leaders and/or educators for the advancement of equity, diversity and/or inclusion efforts.
  • Experience creating equity, diversity, and inclusion guidance and/or resources.
  • Experience leading a project team or committees.

Responsibilities

  • As an Education Equity Specialist you will provide support to agency staff to identify and eliminate structural and institutional barriers of racism while transforming education systems to provide all students with equitable access and outcomes, without exception.
  • You will develop and facilitate professional development and other growth experiences for agency staff and external partners to identify, interrupt and transform barriers to equity and inclusion.
  • The Education Equity Specialist will engage agency staff in conversations and action planning to ensure high levels of learning and implementation across the agency and statewide.
