ReaderLink is seeking an Editor to join a high-performing, dynamic team in a hybrid role based in San Diego (three days in-office, two remote). You will oversee development from concept to print, hire and supervise freelancers, and coordinate with editorial, production, and design teams in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years in editorial/publishing, experience with licensed publishing and graphic novels, and strong editing and organizational skills.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 4–7 years of editorial or publishing experience preferred.
• Experience with licensed publishing and graphic novels is preferred.
• Strong editing and developmental editing skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for children's books and current market trend awareness.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee development and execution of Silver Dolphin and Studio Fun titles; manage ~35 titles per year.
• Edit, proofread, and fact-check books ranging from board books to middle-school titles with high accuracy.
• Write 8–10 manuscripts per year; write back cover and marketing copy.
• Hire and oversee freelance writers; coordinate with production, editorial, and design teams.
• Attend weekly production and scheduling meetings; report status and changes to format and art.
• Maintain title data in the title management database; upload materials to online approval systems.
• Prepare title cost sheets to ensure profitability by examining specs and budgets.
