Job summary

Save the Children US seeks an Advisor, Economic Evaluation to strengthen cost modeling and benchmarking for proposals and new business development. You will work with technical advisors, country offices, finance, and awards management to ensure budgets reflect realistic costs and drive evidence-based decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus several years in budgets/economic analysis.
• Experience developing program budgets for international development or humanitarian projects.
• Familiarity with cost-efficiency and cost-effectiveness analyses and the "4Es" framework.
• Ability to analyze quantitative data and translate results into actionable guidance.
• Strong writing, editing and communications skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead program cost modeling to support proposal design and budgeting with activity-based costs.
• Develop and maintain internal cost benchmarks from internal and external data and research.
• Interpret cost benchmarks for proposals and help set consistent budgets and targets.
• Analyze cost drivers across contexts and translate findings into practical guidance for proposals and program design.
• Build capacity of colleagues through mentoring, training and technical guidance.
• Contribute to cost modeling tools, templates and processes.
