Job summary

The Blood Bank of Delmarva in Salisbury, MD is seeking a Donor Collections Technician to join our Salisbury Donor Center and Mobile Blood Drive Team in a hybrid role. You’ll conduct donor interviews, initiate phlebotomy procedures, and ensure equipment and materials meet Quality Control standards while delivering excellent donor service.

Training is provided; pay starts at $17.75/hr with weekend and mobile drive differentials, plus monthly bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of face-to-face customer service experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of successfully managing multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
• A valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct donor interviews in a confidential professional manner to determine donor eligibilities.
• Initiates whole blood collection/phlebotomy procedures and monitors the donor’s progress.
• Prepares for donor interviews and blood collection, ensuring materials and equipment meet Quality Control standards.
• Exemplifies BBD’s Customer Service Mission and Core Values.
