Job summary

Gonzaga University invites applications for its Adjunct Instructor Pool in the Doctoral Program in Leadership Studies. This role focuses on teaching doctoral-level research courses online (Canvas) with possible in-person immersion components, typically 1–3 courses annually.

Successful candidates will mentor graduate students and deliver courses in a hybrid/online format, updating syllabi, evaluating work, and coordinating with the department chair on assessments and curriculum alignment.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in leadership, sociology, psychology, educational leadership, or related field.
• Evidence of online teaching experience at the graduate level.
• Ability to mentor diverse graduate students and align with Gonzaga's Mission.

Responsibilities

• Teach hybrid and/or online Doctoral-level courses (e.g., Principles of Research, Quantitative Research).
• Evaluate assignments and submit grades according to policy and deadlines.
• Use Canvas to organize courses, communicate with students, and post grades.
• Collaborate with the department chair on curriculum and key assessments.
• Be available to meet with students and participate in immersion components when required.
