Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a District Planning Manager to lead the District Planning team in the Compton/Dominguez Hills area. The role focuses on directing workload, mentoring staff, and ensuring design and safety standards across projects.

You will manage performance, develop strategic plans, and use tools like Project Tracker and Power BI to report to senior leadership. This position emphasizes safety, compliance, and data-driven decisions in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of combined experience performing or supervising electrical utility distribution, transmission or telecom design or line construction.
• This position requires a valid Class C Driver's License and the ability to travel as needed.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, engineering or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and approves work orders for accuracy and develops/revises business plans to meet design, construction, and safety standards.
• Supervises incoming projects to balance workload and meet design execution targets.
• Leads design activities and coordinates resources to maintain workload levels across the department.
• Manages employee performance and development through performance planning reviews and coaching.
• Monitors budgets, objectives, quality, cost efficiency, and client responsiveness using reporting tools.

Education
