Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a Distribution Engineer 2 to develop project scopes and ensure timely project delivery. You will support grid modernization, capacity planning, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, experience in power systems engineering, and expertise in project management. This hybrid role requires a valid Class C Driver’s License, with work primarily based in Compton, CA.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in engineering work.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and evaluations of existing conditions.
• Ensure assessments and corrective actions for equipment failures.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Conduct independent engineering evaluations.
• Perform power system modeling and analyses.
• Ensure preventive maintenance activities are performed.
• Develop engineering facility designs.
• Assist in developing new technology and strategies.
• Act as project sponsor for technical questions.
• Ensure protection of physical and cybersecurity assets.
