Job summary

UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh seeks an outstanding academic pediatric radiologist to serve as Director of Pediatric Ultrasound. This on-site, leadership role oversees ultrasound services across CHP, Magee Women’s Hospital, and regional sites, driving innovation and standardization while advancing education and research.

The Director will lead clinical care, education for residents and fellows, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, with a focus on quality, safety, and scholarly

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience with a strong record of clinical excellence, academic productivity, and teaching.
• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Board certification in Radiology and fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology (or eligibility).

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary clinical, academic, and operational leadership for the Section of Pediatric Ultrasound.
• Standardize practices, improve quality and patient safety, and enhance operational efficiency across the network.
• Lead innovation in pediatric ultrasound, including elastography, contrast-enhanced ultrasound, super-resolution imaging, and AI applications.
• Lead educational initiatives, including teaching, conferences for residents and fellows, and mentoring trainees and junior faculty.
• Support technologist education in advanced ultrasound techniques and strengthen multidisciplinary collaborations.
