Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced accounting leader in Marlborough/Chelmsford, MA. The role guides complex accounting functions, sets standards, and implements changes for new products, with a focus on risk reduction and efficiency.

You will lead a high-performing team, communicate with senior leadership, and ensure timely, accurate reporting. The position requires strong GAAP expertise, CPA preferred, and deep experience with accounting systems and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant accounting experience with 4+ years in leadership.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to implement new analyses.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complex accounting functions and month-end close.
• Lead a high-performing team with coaching and development.
• Ensure accuracy of internal/external reporting and GAAP compliance.
• Develop and implement internal controls and process improvements.
• Research complex accounting issues and provide policy guidance.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic plans.
