Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union seeks a senior accounting leader to manage the most complex accounting functions, drive department projects, and set standards. You will oversee controls, reporting, and enterprise‑level evaluation, while leading a high‑performing team and ensuring GAAP compliance.

You will interact with cross‑functional teams and senior leadership to explain complex topics with strategic insight, shaping budgeting, forecasting and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of related experience; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant accounting experience; 4+ years leading teams.
• GAAP knowledge with ability to research and apply accounting policy.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and footnotes.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision making.
• Proficiency with automated financial planning and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex accounting functions, set standards and procedures.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close with accuracy.
• Oversee internal and external reporting and regulatory filings.
• Develop a high-performing team through coaching and career paths.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate financial data collection and consolidation.
• Provide strategic accounting input to plans and reviews.
