GenScript USA Inc/ProBio Inc. seeks a Procurement Lead for Direct Materials in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment.

You will manage a direct procurement team, drive end-to-end sourcing, and optimize supplier performance to ensure supply continuity and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include overseeing material planning, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve cost objectives and KPI targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain Management, Biology and Chemistry (or related field).
• 3-5 years in procurement, strategic sourcing or planning of direct materials, preferably biotech/pharma.
• Demonstrated leadership through people or project management.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency with materials used in biotech/pharma production, incl. raw materials, consumables and packing materials.
• Knowledge of SAP and S2P is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the direct procurement team to meet SLA and KPI targets.
• Oversee material planning for direct materials to meet inventory KPIs.
• Drive strategic sourcing and procurement for direct materials and consumables used in production.
• Develop alternate vendors to ensure supply continuity and mitigate risks.
• Conduct category management to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Negotiate and manage contracts and MSAs with suppliers.
• Collaborate with legal to execute contracts and with production for process understanding.
