Job summary

Leidos is seeking a DevSecOps Security Engineer to advance automated security controls within the L-CAP delivery pipeline. The role emphasizes SAST/DAST, container scanning, SBOMs, and secure CI/CD practices across hybrid cloud environments.

You will collaborate with platform and application teams to raise security posture without slowing delivery, and you’ll produce evidence for security authorization and ongoing monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience integrating SAST/DAST and container scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience securing Kubernetes and container environments (pod security, RBAC, network policies).
• Vulnerability scanning and remediation using Nessus/Trivy/Grype/Qualys; CVE triage.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain automated security controls in CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning).
• Enforce security gates, artifact signing, and SBOMs to prevent vulnerable deployments.
• Drive container remediation and hardening with minimal base images.
• Implement Kubernetes security controls (pod security, RBAC, network policies, admission controls).
• Secure workloads with secrets management, mTLS, service mesh policies, and hardening.
• Develop policy-as-code and infrastructure guardrails (OPA/Rego, Kyverno).
• Produce security evidence supporting authorization and continuous monitoring.
• Triage vulnerabilities and support incident response and root cause analysis.
• Leverage AI-assisted development to improve security and delivery speed.
