Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer (DevOps) for a 12+ months contract in San Diego, CA. The role is hybrid, combining on-site collaboration with remote work days to support secure, scalable infrastructure.

Responsibilities include vulnerability management, automation with Puppet/Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud/container security, and working with global teams to implement hardening and incident response.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux infrastructure and configuration management (Puppet or Ansible).
• Strong communication and ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes architecture and container orchestration.
• Experience with container security scanning and vulnerability assessment.
• Familiarity with VMware, Git, Artifactory, and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, tracks, responds, investigates and reports vulnerabilities.
• Drive remediation with System Engineering and Security teams.
• Write and deploy Puppet or Ansible playbooks to resolve vulnerabilities.
• Assess and remediate container image vulnerabilities; coordinate scanning and patching.
• Write knowledge articles as needed.
• Define hardening policies to improve security posture.
• Review and prepare for planned change introductions.
• Plan and execute software upgrades with teams.
